Note: Shwedagon Pagoda, located in Yangon, Myanmar, is the most sacred Buddhist stupa in the country. Believed to have been built over 2,500 years ago, it enshrines relics of four previous Buddhas, including strands of hair from Gautama Buddha. The pagoda stands approximately 99 meters (325 feet) tall and is covered with gold plates, topped by a diamond-studded spire. Shwedagon Pagoda is not only a major pilgrimage site but also a symbol of Myanmar’s religious devotion and cultural heritage. Visitors can explore its many shrines, statues, and prayer halls, and witness daily rituals performed by monks and devotees.
