Transportation: From Yangon International Airport, you can reach Botahtaung Pagoda as follows: - By taxi or ride-hailing service: It takes approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on traffic, over a distance of about 12 km to downtown Yangon along the Yangon River. - By airport shuttle service: Many hotels in Yangon offer airport shuttle services, which can be arranged in advance. - By public bus: Various bus routes run from the airport to the city, but this option is less convenient for first-time visitors as it may require transfers.

Note: Botahtaung Pagoda, located in the heart of Yangon, Myanmar, is a historic Buddhist stupa believed to enshrine a strand of the Buddha’s hair. Its name, meaning “1,000 military officers,” refers to the legendary thousand soldiers who once welcomed the relic from India. Originally built over 2,500 years ago by the Mon people, the pagoda was destroyed during World War II but later reconstructed. Unlike typical stupas, it has a hollow interior, allowing visitors to explore relics and artifacts. Today, it remains an important religious site and a popular destination for worshippers and tourists alike.
